Creating your first QR Code

Creating your first QR Code with ConnectQR is quick and easy. This guide will walk you through how to create a Dynamic QR Code that links to a website (URL) — the most popular type of QR Code used on our platform.

Step 1: Choose your QR Code type

After logging in to your ConnectQR account, click "Create QR Code".

You will see two options:

  • Dynamic QR Code (Trackable, editable, recommended)
  • Static QR Code (Non-trackable, destination cannot be changed later)

We recommend choosing Dynamic QR Code so you can update the destination later and access scan analytics.

Next, select URL as your QR Code type.

Step 2: Name your QR Code and add tags (optional)

Give your QR Code a name. This is for your own reference and helps you stay organized, especially if you create many codes.

You can also add tags to help search and filter your codes later (optional).

Example:

  • Name: Summer Promo Flyer
  • Tags: Marketing, Event

Step 3: Enter your destination URL

In the next step, enter the website address (URL) that you want your QR Code to link to.

Example:

https://connectqr.ai

When you're ready, click "Save".

Step 4: Download or customize your QR Code

Congratulations — your QR Code is now ready!

You can download your QR Code immediately in the following formats:

  • JPG
  • PNG
  • SVG

Alternatively, you can choose to customize the design of your QR Code — adding your logo, brand colors, and different styles.

This step is optional — you can always customize your QR Code later from your dashboard.

What's next?

Your QR Code is now live and ready to use! You can print it, share it online, or use it in your marketing materials.

Best of all, because you created a Dynamic QR Code, you can update the destination link at any time without reprinting the code.
