How to customise your QR Code

ConnectQR makes it easy to customise the design of your QR Code so it looks great while still working perfectly. You can customise your QR Code immediately after creating it, or come back later to edit the design at any time from your dashboard.

Where to customise your QR Code

Once you’ve created your QR Code, you’ll see an option to "Customise QR code" on the final screen.

You can also customise any existing QR Code later by going to your dashboard, selecting your QR Code, and choosing "Customise".

Customisation options available

You can change the look of your QR Code by adjusting:

  • Code Shape — Choose from different pattern styles
  • Pattern Colour — Change the colour of the QR Code pattern
  • Corner Shape — Select different styles for the corners
  • Corner Colour — Adjust the colour of the corner markers
  • Logo/Image — Upload a logo or image to display in the centre of the code

As you customise your code, you’ll see a live preview on the right-hand side of the screen.

Saving your changes

When you're happy with the design of your QR Code, don't forget to click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.

Downloading your customised QR Code

Once your changes are saved, you can download your QR Code in the following formats:

  • JPG
  • PNG
  • SVG

Simply click "Download" to save the file to your device.

Best practice for customising QR Codes

While it’s great to personalise your QR Code, it’s important to make sure it stays easy to scan.

We recommend:

  • Using high contrast colours — for example, dark code on a light background
  • Making sure the background is not too busy or patterned
  • Uploading clear, simple logos that fit well within the centre space

Don’t worry — ConnectQR uses high error correction technology, so your code should still scan even with a logo in the centre. However, we always recommend testing your QR Code with your mobile device before printing or sharing it widely.
