Need to update where your short link points? Or maybe you want to tidy up the title or tags? With ConnectQR, editing a Short URL is quick and easy — and your link won’t change.

What can you edit?

You can change:

  • Destination URL: Update the final link people will land on.
  • Title: Rename the link to help you stay organized.
  • Tags: Add or update tags to group your links more easily.

Note: The actual short URL (e.g. ypb.io/abc123) stays the same and cannot be changed.

How to edit your Short URL

  1. Go to My Shortened URLs
In the left-hand menu, click URL ShortenerMy Shortened URLs.
  2. Find the link you want to update
Use the search bar or scroll through your list. Once you’ve found the right link, click the three-dot menu to the right of it.
  3. Select Edit
From the dropdown menu, choose Edit. This will open the edit screen.
  4. Make your changes
Update the destination URL, title, or tags as needed.
  5. Click Save
Once you're happy with your updates, click Save. Your changes will take effect immediately.

Will the short link change?

No — the short URL itself stays the same. That means you don’t need to update any printed materials, emails, or posts where you’ve already shared the link.

Why you might want to edit a short link

  • Fix a broken or outdated destination link
  • Update campaign tags for reporting
  • Give the link a more helpful or descriptive title
